Senior Programs
To provide nutritious food assistance to seniors in the communities we serve, facing food insecurity
Serving Low-income Seniors
Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors (N3) is teaming up with the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) and the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) to bring the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), known locally as PAN (People and Nutrition), to seniors in our communities. Through this program, eligible adults aged 60 and older can receive a monthly box of nutritious, shelf‑stable foods from the USDA. Each box contains about 35 pounds of non‑perishable items to help support senior health and food security. N3 works to make sure seniors in Collin, Denton, and Grayson counties have access to these resources. CSFP boxes are distributed on the first Friday of each month, or the following Friday if there’s a holiday.
Who qualifies for CSFP/PAN?
Must be 60 years or older.
Must reside in Collin, Denton, or Grayson counties. Residents outside of these areas should visit the NTFB website.
Must meet government income guidelines
How do I Register?
Enrolling is easy. Come to the food pantry during CSFP/PAN Box distribution days. The First Friday of the month. Bring the following information with you.
Personal Identification: Birth certificate, Baptismal certificate, Health card, Identification card, Driver license, Military ID, Veteran ID, Passport, Refugee visa.
Monthly Income: Due to the income requirements, applicants must be familiar with their gross monthly income (If applicant recognizes multiple household members, must know all gross incomes combined)
Are you homebound? Get a Proxy.
If a senior is unable to apply or pick up their PAN Box in person, a designated proxy may do so on their behalf by first completing the Proxy Form.
For enrollment, the proxy can submit the Participant Application and bring it to a CSFP distribution with the senior’s personal ID, or email scans of both documents to appt@n3foodpantry.org.
For box pick up, the proxy must bring the senior’s CSFP ID number along with the proxy’s own personal ID.
