Sarah Shaw - Making a Difference, One Shift at a Time

2025 Third Quarter Honoree

Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors (N3) Food Pantry is proud to recognize Sarah Shaw as our 2025 Third Quarter Volunteer Spotlight honoree!

A full-time school counselor with a heart for service, Sarah chooses to spend her free time giving back to her community by volunteering at N3. Her motivation was simple, yet powerful: "I want to use my time off to help those who suffer with food insecurities. No one should go hungry here in America." And from day one, Sarah has embodied that mission with compassion, energy, and a deep sense of purpose.

During her time with us, Sarah quickly became an invaluable part of the N3 team. She was struck by the care and intentionality our staff brings to every interaction with families who shop at the pantry. From providing quality meats and fresh produce to snacks that bring a smile, Sarah witnessed firsthand the dignity and respect each shopper receives. One moment that stood out to her was when a shopper said, “It always feels like I’m at a real grocery store.” That simple comment affirmed the meaningful work being done—and why volunteers like Sarah matter so much.

As someone who regularly encourages her students to give back through volunteering, Sarah says she’s excited to share her own experience with them: “There’s no feeling like helping those in need.” Her time of service has not only impacted families across the community but also inspired the next generation of givers.

Sarah’s commitment to using her skills, time, and compassion to serve others exemplifies the spirit of N3. We are incredibly grateful for the heart she brings to our mission and the lives she’s touched through her volunteerism.
